Job description
The Procurement Manager – Healthcare Category is responsible for managing the full procurement lifecycle for Emirates Group’s medical sourcing needs. This role develops sourcing strategies, manages supplier engagements, negotiates contracts, ensures compliance with procurement policies, and drives cost-effective procurement solutions. The manager will serve as the bridge between business requirements and supplier capabilities, delivering continuous improvement in service, quality, and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies and sourcing plans based on market insights and operational needs.
- Engage stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide expert procurement guidance.
- Manage sourcing events, supplier pre-qualification, tendering, evaluation, and contract finalization.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and authorities manuals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of contracts, tenders, RTAs, and procurement contributions in relevant systems.
- Champion and optimize procurement systems to enhance transparency, efficiency, and data accuracy.
- Mitigate procurement and supply chain risks throughout sourcing and contract management processes.
- Support smooth transactional handover of contracts to operational teams, including supplier master setup and price list management.
- Provide recommendations for contract awards and approvals in alignment with the Procurement Procedures Manual.
- Perform additional procurement-related tasks as required by management to ensure operational flexibility.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in procurement, contract management, or supply chain management.
- Professional procurement certifications preferred (e.g., MCIPS, CIPS, CPP, CSMP, CPSM, IPSCMI, CIPP, CPPP, CISCP, CICCM, CIPN, CITLP, CISM, CMPO).
- Experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within aviation or related industries.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical and data-driven decision-making with commercial acumen.
- Organizational, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of best practice source-to-pay processes and category-specific market insights.
