Job description
The Investment Counsellor Manager will support clients in making informed financial decisions by offering personalized investment advice, developing sales strategies, managing portfolios, and recommending suitable products based on market insights and risk profiles. The role involves regular client engagement, portfolio reviews, report writing, investment education, and trade execution support to Relationship Managers (RMs). A strong understanding of financial markets, products, and client relationship management is essential, alongside required certifications.

Key responsibilities
- Promote financial products and evaluate clients' risk profiles through data collection and assessment
- Select potential investments for clients based on risk and return metrics
- Prepare detailed investment reports, identifying issues and proposing strategy alternatives
- Review and update RMs' portfolios, support trade executions on client instruction
- Recommend suitable investment products tailored to clients' needs and goals
- Conduct client meetings to assess financial objectives and investment strategies
- Monitor client portfolio performance to ensure alignment with expected outcomes
- Analyze prospective investment opportunities to assess risks and returns
- Educate clients on a range of investment types including mutual funds, sukuk, and real estate
- Independently assess client needs and propose tailored investment strategies
- Identify new product opportunities to leverage market trends or improve offerings
Experience & skills
- Minimum 3 years' experience with a university certificate or 7 years with a diploma or lower qualification in financial analysis, financial markets, investment, wealth management, or financial planning
- Acceptable alternative qualifications: CFA, AFA, CIP, CIIA, CQF, FRM, ICA
- Mandatory Certifications: CISI UAE Financial Rules and Regulations, CISI International Certificate in Wealth and Investment Management (Level 3)
- Ability to assess and manage investment risk
- Experience with client portfolio management and advisory services
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Knowledge of alternative and traditional investment products
