Job description
A large-scale development in Riyadh needs one on-site authority who can hold construction to approved designs, contract specifications and schedule, and that's the mandate behind this Senior Resident Engineer role. You'll act as the Consultant's primary site representative, leading all construction supervision activities from the ground up. Multidisciplinary teams spanning civil, structural, architectural, MEP, landscape and specialist inspectors all report into this role's coordination. Contractor submissions get reviewed constantly, covering method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, work programs and technical proposals. Construction progress gets tracked against approved schedules and key milestones, with risks, delays and technical challenges addressed before they escalate. Progress meetings, construction coordination sessions and technical review workshops all get chaired and led on a regular basis. Interim payment certificates, variation orders, claims and extension of time requests all pass through this role for review and recommendation. Clients, authorities, contractors, operators and other consultants coordinate through this position to keep project delivery moving. Testing, commissioning, system integration and project closeout all fall under this role's oversight as the development nears completion.
