Job description
The Principal Business Application Specialist – Oracle Finance is responsible for leading the implementation, configuration, and support of Oracle Finance applications within a healthcare or large enterprise environment in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role involves ownership of Oracle Finance modules including Oracle General Ledger (GL), Oracle Accounts Payable (AP), Oracle Accounts Receivable (AR), Oracle Fixed Assets (FA), Oracle Cash Management (CM), and other Oracle Financials modules. The position requires collaboration with Finance and IT teams to identify system enhancements, process improvements, and optimize financial processes and reporting standards. The role includes managing integrations between Oracle Finance applications and other enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity, operational efficiency, and seamless system connectivity. The Principal Specialist provides expert-level troubleshooting, technical support, and application maintenance for Oracle Finance applications, while ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory compliance requirements. The position also drives user training initiatives, develops technical documentation, and leads change management activities to support system enhancements and upgrades. The role requires strong understanding of financial processes, financial reporting standards, enterprise application architecture, Oracle Financials configuration, system implementation, and governance controls, along with stakeholder management across finance, IT, and business teams within healthcare or large enterprise organizations.

Key responsibilities
- Lead implementation, configuration, and support of Oracle Finance applications including Oracle General Ledger (GL), Oracle Accounts Payable (AP), Oracle Accounts Receivable (AR), Oracle Fixed Assets (FA), and Oracle Cash Management (CM) modules within enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to identify system enhancements, optimize financial processes, improve reporting standards, and support operational efficiency initiatives.
- Manage integrations between Oracle Finance applications and other enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data flow, system interoperability, and integration stability.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting, technical support, root cause analysis, and resolution for Oracle Finance applications and related enterprise systems.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and governance standards related to financial systems and enterprise applications.
- Drive user training initiatives, develop technical documentation, and support knowledge transfer for Oracle Finance modules and enhancements.
- Lead change management initiatives including system upgrades, enhancements, configuration changes, and release management activities.
- Support stakeholder engagement across Finance, IT, and business teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise financial systems strategy and operational requirements.
Experience & skills
- Obtain Bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, or related field with Master’s degree preferred and strong understanding of enterprise financial systems.
- Possess minimum 8 years of experience working with Oracle Finance applications including Oracle GL, AP, AR, FA, and CM modules.
- Demonstrate at least 3 years of experience in senior or principal-level Oracle Finance application support or implementation roles.
- Show proven experience working within healthcare or large enterprise environments supporting Oracle Financials systems.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of financial processes, financial reporting standards, and enterprise financial system architecture.
- Possess expertise in Oracle integrations, enterprise system integrations, and application troubleshooting.
- Demonstrate experience in user training, documentation development, and change management initiatives for enterprise systems.
- Show strong stakeholder management, analytical skills, and ability to collaborate with Finance and IT teams across enterprise environments.
