Job description
The Technical Sales Consultant (Software) in Riyadh is responsible for engaging with corporate clients to understand business needs and deliver tailored software solutions. This role bridges the technical and commercial aspects of enterprise software sales, ensuring clients understand the value of products and solutions. The consultant actively participates in discovery sessions, solution design, pre-sales activities, and closing support while maintaining strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
- Engage with clients to understand business needs, pain points, and technical requirements.
- Conduct discovery sessions and requirement analysis to identify opportunities for software solutions.
- Deliver tailored product demos, presentations, and proposals translating technical features into business value.
- Support RFP/RFQ responses, solution design, and proposal development.
- Collaborate with the sales team to drive deals, handle client objections, and support closing activities.
- Recommend best-fit solutions based on client requirements while ensuring alignment with technical feasibility and product capabilities.
- Maintain and update the CRM system with pipeline information, opportunity progress, and client communications.
- Support achieving sales targets through active pipeline management and opportunity qualification.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with implementation and technical teams to ensure seamless solution deployment and client satisfaction.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
- 3–6+ years of experience in Software Sales, Pre-Sales, or Technical Sales roles.
- Proven experience in selling SaaS, ERP, CRM, or enterprise software solutions.
- Experience in B2B environments and dealing with corporate clients.
- Track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of software solutions, system architecture, APIs, and cloud-based platforms.
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
- Excellent negotiation and objection-handling skills.
- Proficiency in conducting discovery sessions, requirement gathering, and supporting RFP/RFQ responses.
- Understanding of sales methodologies (SPIN, MEDDIC, Challenger, etc.).
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel if required.
