Job description
The Senior Specialist – Integration is responsible for designing, developing, orchestrating, and maintaining complex enterprise integration solutions across system, process, and service layers. Based in Dubai, this role focuses on building scalable middleware solutions using industry-standard Integration Platforms as a Service (iPaaS), particularly Boomi. The position supports continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) in an Agile environment, working closely with IT Business Partners, subject matter experts, and process owners to translate business requirements into technical integration specifications. The role includes full lifecycle development of large-scale production integrations between enterprise SaaS applications, ensuring high performance, security, resilience, and compliance with defined architectural standards.

Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain complex integrations between enterprise applications using Boomi and other ESB tools.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define integration requirements and create technical specifications.
- Develop middleware solutions following development standards, design specifications, and integration patterns.
- Manage APIs including design, deployment, monitoring, and documentation using tools such as Swagger.
- Perform unit testing, contribute to integration testing, and participate in code and design reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, providing L2 technical support and root cause analysis.
- Conduct impact assessments for change requests and propose cost-effective technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive integration documentation and artifacts.
- Ensure compliance with security, exception handling, auditing, and alerting standards for workflows.
- Collaborate on automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and monitoring capabilities.
- Mentor team members and provide coaching, knowledge transfer, and technical guidance.
- Stay current with industry best practices and recommend performance and architectural improvements.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 6+ years of overall IT development experience with at least 4 years of hands-on integration experience.
- Strong expertise in Boomi or other ESB/iPaaS platforms such as MuleSoft.
- Advanced understanding of integration patterns and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, XSLT, WSDL, and related technologies.
- Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript or Groovy.
- Familiarity with AWS services and enterprise SaaS platforms such as Dynamics 365.
- Knowledge of databases including RDBMS, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience in at least four full project implementations.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of change management and problem management processes.
