Job description
The Head ā BH Field Project (Topside & Jackets) is responsible for leading and managing the Engineering, Procurement, Installation, and Commissioning (EPIC) execution phase of the PS3 BH Field Redevelopment Project for QatarEnergy. The role oversees both Greenfield and Brownfield development scopes, ensuring project delivery within approved cost, schedule, quality, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements while aligning with QatarEnergyās Project Management Framework. The position acts as the primary deputy to the Project Manager and holds accountability for day-to-day coordination, decision-making, and execution oversight across all EPIC activities including engineering design, procurement, offshore fabrication, transportation and installation (T&I), offshore construction, load-out operations, hook-up, inspection activities, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and project handover. The project scope involves major offshore infrastructure development including the construction of a new Production Station (PS3) that will be bridge-connected to the existing offshore complex. The facility will consist of multiple platforms including the Process Platform (PS3K), Utilities and Living Quarters Platform (PS3L), MJ Separation and Compression Platform (PS3M), Riser Platform (PS3R), and flare systems with structural props and interconnecting bridges. The role also manages Brownfield modifications to existing PS3A, PS3B, and PS3C platforms as well as high-voltage electrical modifications and civil works at Halul Island. Additional scope includes the development of a structural prop and a new four-leg offshore jacket with a topside facility supporting injection wells and structural support platforms located at multiple remote wellhead jackets (WHJs). The Head of BH Field Project is responsible for ensuring coordination of engineering design activities, offshore fabrication, transportation, load-out, and installation processes, as well as overseeing hook-up, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities to achieve successful operational readiness. The role requires strong governance of offshore engineering standards and compliance with international codes including API, DNV, ISO standards, and Shell Design and Engineering Practices (Shell DEPs). The position also requires advanced expertise in project governance disciplines such as risk management, schedule control, earned value management, interface management, and change management across complex multi-billion-dollar EPIC contracts. The role involves leading large, multidisciplinary teams exceeding 150 personnel across multiple geographic locations and time zones, ensuring effective coordination with internal stakeholders, contractors, and offshore project teams within multicultural working environments.
