Job description
The Customer Service Officer – Branches role focuses on delivering consistent, high-quality customer service across the bank’s branch network in the UAE. The role requires flexibility to be deployed to any branch as needed to support operations, maintain service continuity, and uphold service standards. The officer is responsible for handling customer financial transactions, resolving complaints, cross-selling banking products, identifying new relationships, and ensuring full compliance with consumer protection regulations and internal policies.

Key responsibilities
- Provide timely, accurate, and problem-free banking services that exceed customer expectations
- Take ownership of customer complaints and ensure prompt and effective resolution
- Improve service levels and customer satisfaction at assigned branches
- Contact customers via phone and branch visits to cross-sell products and generate leads and referrals
- Identify and establish new customer relationships aligned with retail banking objectives
- Demonstrate flexibility by supporting operations at any branch within the network when required
- Benchmark SIB products and services against competitors to support product and service enhancement
- Ensure compliance with consumer protection regulations and fair treatment of customers
- Provide accurate product information and protect customer data confidentiality
- Identify, report, and escalate suspicious or fraudulent activities
- Adhere strictly to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Recommend improvements to departmental procedures to enhance service quality and cost efficiency
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in a commercial-related field
- 2–5 years of experience in the banking sector
- Valid UAE driving license
- Strong written and spoken English (Arabic is an advantage)
- Good knowledge of MS Office and computer applications
- Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
- Understanding of consumer protection regulations and conduct risk principles
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple branch locations
