Job description
The SME Hydrology & Hydraulic Modeler at Qiddiya Investment Company plays a critical technical role in managing and analyzing water-related challenges across large-scale master development and infrastructure projects in Riyadh. The position is responsible for the planning, development, application, and maintenance of advanced hydrological and hydraulic models to assess surface water management, drainage performance, flood risks, and the impacts of proposed developments on local and regional water systems. The role directly supports Qiddiya’s sustainability objectives and operational requirements by delivering technically robust, regulation-compliant, and innovative water management solutions. The consultant applies industry-standard modeling tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, MIKE, and similar software to conduct rainfall-runoff modeling, flood event simulations, and water quality and quantity assessments. The role requires close collaboration with civil engineers and multidisciplinary project teams to integrate hydrological considerations into the design of roads, bridges, drainage networks, and other infrastructure assets. The SME Hydrology & Hydraulic Modeler prepares detailed technical reports for stakeholders and regulatory authorities, provides expert input for permits and environmental submissions, engages with local authorities and environmental organizations, and continuously applies emerging technologies and methodologies to enhance hydrology and hydraulic modeling outcomes within complex development environments.
