Job description
The Sr. Partnership Manager, UAE Payments – Amazon MENA Payments is responsible for driving strategic partnerships with issuing banks and payment schemes in the UAE to enhance electronic payment adoption and cardholder engagement. Based in Dubai, the role focuses on negotiating promotional campaigns, managing credit card installment programs, growing Amazon co-branded credit cards, and increasing card-on-file (CoF) activity and average order value (AOV). The incumbent owns commercial targets including total discounts raised, manages program health and budget utilization, and collaborates with cross-functional teams across product, marketing, operations, and finance to ensure successful execution of payments initiatives. The role requires strong commercial acumen, data-driven decision-making, and deep expertise in credit/debit card portfolio management and the acquiring ecosystem.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Manage relationships with issuing banks in the UAE directly or through payment schemes
- Identify and execute promotional propositions during key events to drive new CoF, increase AOV, and reactivate dormant cardholders
- Own and deliver UAE targets for total discounts raised from partner banks
- Structure and negotiate credit card installment agreements with issuing banks
- Drive acquisition and lifecycle management strategies for Amazon co-branded credit cards
- Collect partner feedback and insights to define actionable improvements
- Track program performance, budget utilization, and deliver regular business reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans with key partners
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, operations, and finance teams to ensure program success
Experience & skills
- 6+ years of experience in the payments industry, preferably managing credit/debit card portfolios and acquiring relationships
- MBA preferred
- Proven experience developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and provide business recommendations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Experience working in fast-paced consumer-focused environments
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
