Job description
The Store Manager at Sephora is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of store operations, driving sales, enhancing customer experience, and developing high-performing teams. The role requires overseeing retail operations, including daily store management, inventory control, visual merchandising, promotional events, and operational efficiency in alignment with company policies and best practices. The Store Manager drives strategic sales initiatives, budgeting, forecasting, and business planning to maximize revenue and profitability while continuously monitoring KPIs and market trends. The position demands engagement with clients to provide exceptional customer experiences, using Sephora's analytics tools to measure satisfaction and guide improvement. The manager ensures adherence to health and safety standards, manages floor leadership, coordinates with brand managers, and maintains operational compliance. Additionally, the role encompasses staff development, training, performance management, succession planning, and coaching to maintain a motivated and skilled workforce. The Store Manager also liaises with the Retail Manager and head office departments to analyze operational data, competitor activity, and market conditions to recommend business improvements, enhance product performance, and execute in-store promotional activities, ultimately delivering an addictive beauty experience and achieving commercial targets.

- Lead and manage the store team to deliver exceptional client experiences, coaching and supporting team members in floor operations and client interactions
- Develop and implement strategic sales, budget, and commercial plans to achieve store targets and maximize profitability
- Monitor, analyze, and forecast sales performance and KPIs, proposing action plans to improve results and support decision-making
- Oversee daily store operations including inventory monitoring, merchandising, stock replenishment, cleanliness, and operational compliance with policies and procedures
- Coordinate and supervise visual merchandising, promotional events, marketing displays, and in-store activations to enhance brand image and product visibility
- Collaborate with Retail Manager and head office departments to provide market feedback, competitor analysis, and business insights to drive growth and client satisfaction
- Recruit, develop, and manage store staff, ensuring training compliance, coaching on performance, succession planning, and talent development
- Enforce health and safety standards, monitor compliance with operational procedures, and address any store operational or safety issues promptly
- Drive team engagement, motivate staff, facilitate monthly performance reviews, team meetings, and implement initiatives to enhance culture and employee experience
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 7 to 8 years' experience in store management within retail, luxury, or beauty sector
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field with strong business acumen and commercial awareness
- Proven experience in developing, managing, and inspiring high-performing teams with a focus on coaching and staff development
- Demonstrated ability to manage operational KPIs, analyze sales performance, forecast results, and implement strategic action plans
- Strong digital orientation with proficiency in MS Office and usage of digital learning tools for team training and development
- Comprehensive understanding of retail operations, visual merchandising, inventory management, promotional planning, and floor leadership
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills to drive client satisfaction and team engagement
