Job description
Mashreq Investment Banking Division is seeking a Senior Associate – Debt Capital Markets to support the origination, structuring, and execution of debt capital market transactions. The role operates within the DCM team and contributes across both origination and execution activities, including client pitch support, market monitoring, pricing updates, preparation of internal and external materials, and maintenance of market databases covering issuances, league tables, and DCM statistics. The position works closely with senior team members, external legal and advisory resources, and internal compliance functions to deliver high-quality private and public market transactions. The role requires strong quantitative capability, financial modeling expertise, presentation skills, and the ability to manage multiple transactions concurrently in a fast-paced investment banking environment.

Key responsibilities
- Assist in the origination, structuring, and execution of debt capital market transactions
- Support senior team members with pitch development, client pricing updates, and internal and external market updates
- Conduct financial analysis and due diligence on potential clients and DCM transactions
- Prepare investment banking proposals, presentations, and marketing materials
- Maintain and update financial models, projections, and transaction analyses
- Support preparation and review of DCM documentation including offering circulars for private and public markets
- Liaise with legal, compliance, and external advisors to address regulatory and documentation requirements
- Maintain databases covering issuances, market activity, league tables, and DCM statistics
- Monitor market dynamics, news, and competitor activity relevant to clients and transactions
- Support management of multiple transactions simultaneously to ensure timely execution
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Banking, Finance, or a related discipline
- Possess 2–4 years of experience in investment banking or corporate banking
- Demonstrate strong analytical, numerical, and quantitative skills
- Exhibit proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
- Show strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in client presentations
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Exhibit experience working with corporate or institutional clients
- Be available for full-time, office-based work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates
