Job description
The Assistant Operations Manager – Delivery at Transguard Group supports the Operations Manager in overseeing daily delivery operations. The role ensures efficient delivery processes, optimal use of resources, high levels of customer satisfaction, and adherence to company policies. This position includes supervising delivery teams, managing schedules, monitoring budgets, and implementing operational strategies.

Key responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating and managing daily delivery activities to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
- Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
- Oversee allocation of vehicles and delivery personnel to meet operational requirements.
- Assist in managing the delivery operations budget and monitoring vehicle/equipment maintenance.
- Resolve customer complaints and delivery-related issues, maintaining strong communication and service levels.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify service improvements.
- Supervise, train, and provide support to delivery personnel, including performance reviews.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, incidents, and route details.
- Prepare regular reports on delivery performance and operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and delivery standards.
- Support cross-departmental collaboration with Customer Service, Sales, and Warehouse teams.
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in logistics or delivery operations, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in logistics software and operational technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Valid UAE driving license.
