Job description
Al Quoz is home to the ready-mix and masonry factory where this position runs daily concrete production, planned around sales orders, pour schedules and delivery commitments. Every batch has to match the approved mix design and job specification, so batching tolerances, weighing system calibration and admixture dispensers all need close attention. Large and continuous pours are common, including night work and hot-weather concreting with chilled water and ice. Dispatch, Sales and QC teams depend on you for smooth order flow, truck mixer and pump allocation, and on-time site delivery. Materials need constant watching, from cement, GGBS, fly ash and microsilica to aggregates, sand and admixtures, with consumption, wastage and returned concrete reconciled against production. Plant productivity is tracked in m³ per hour, truck turnaround and uptime, and maintenance on batching plants, mixers, silos and chillers is coordinated to keep downtime low. HSE standards, Dubai Municipality requirements and ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 systems shape how the plant runs. Production staff report to you, and the Production/Plant Manager will rely on you to deputise when needed. Expect to bring 8 to 12 years in ready-mix production, with 3 to 5 of those running a batching plant in a supervisory role.

Key responsibilities
- Plan, schedule and run daily production in line with sales orders, pour schedules and delivery commitments
- Oversee batching plant operations so every batch meets the approved mix design and job specification
- Coordinate with Dispatch, Logistics, Sales and QC teams on order flow, truck mixer and pump allocation and on-time delivery
- Manage large, continuous, night and special pours, including hot-weather concreting with chilled water and ice
- Track plant productivity in m³ per hour, truck turnaround and uptime, and fix bottlenecks as they arise
- Monitor stocks of cement, GGBS, fly ash, microsilica, aggregates, sand and admixtures and raise material requirements on time
- Reconcile material consumption, wastage, returned and rejected concrete against production volumes
- Maintain aggregate stockpiles, moisture corrections and ice and chilled-water systems
- Calibrate batching tolerances, weighing systems and admixture dispensers and keep records up to date
- Investigate production-related complaints and non-conformities and put corrective actions in place
- Arrange preventive and breakdown maintenance of batching plants, mixers, conveyors, silos, loaders and chillers with the Maintenance department
- Enforce HSE rules and Dubai Municipality requirements on dust, noise, wastewater and concrete washout
- Support ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 systems and take part in internal and external audits
- Supervise, train and assess production staff and plan shifts and manpower
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports, KPIs and cost analysis for management
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Bring 8 to 12 years of experience in ready-mix concrete production
- Demonstrate at least 3 to 5 years in a supervisory or assistant manager role running a batching plant
- Operate batching plant systems and controls such as Liebherr, Elkon, SIMEM or MEKA
- Apply sound knowledge of mix designs, concrete technology and hot-weather concreting
- Understand local specifications including Dubai Municipality, BS EN 206 and ASTM
- Offer UAE or GCC ready-mix experience, which is strongly preferred
- Possess a valid UAE driving licence, which is preferred
