Job description
ADEK and Ministry of Education requirements shape every lesson in this Arabic Teacher role at GEMS World Academy, Abu Dhabi, based on Al Reem Island within an IB framework alongside elements of the British curriculum. You deliver high-quality Arabic lessons aligned with MOE and ADEK curriculum standards, planning lessons that cater to diverse student needs and abilities. Student progress gets monitored closely, with assessment data used to inform teaching and improve outcomes across the department. School policies and line manager instructions get implemented consistently in teaching, learning, and student behaviour, while compliance with MOE and ADEK stays a constant focus in classroom practice. You contribute to the department's preparation for external inspections and internal reviews, maintaining accurate records of student progress, assessments, and reporting. UAE national identity, values, and heritage get woven into Arabic lessons, with participation in national celebrations such as UAE National Day, Flag Day, and Commemoration Day. Collaboration runs throughout the department, sharing best practices with colleagues, engaging in professional development, and supporting newer or developing teachers through mentoring. Communication with parents stays clear and timely, addressing queries promptly and building positive home-school partnerships that support student progress and wellbeing.
