Job description
Etihad Airways is hiring a Finance Officer ā Payment Solutions to oversee and enhance the performance of the airlineās payment systems. This role bridges daily operations with strategic planning to drive efficiency, innovation, and compliance in payment processing. The ideal candidate will monitor system performance, support integration of new technologies, manage vendor relationships, and lead initiatives in fraud prevention and automation. This is a high-impact role supporting both customer experience and financial optimization within Etihadās digital and financial ecosystem.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Support daily operation and optimization of Etihadās payment infrastructure
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot transaction flows, and resolve payment issues
- Integrate new payment technologies including digital wallets and real-time payments
- Coordinate with IT and third-party vendors on system testing and upgrades
- Implement fraud detection and chargeback management tools
- Document workflows and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Serve as point of contact for banks and payment service providers
- Evaluate vendor performance through analysis of processing metrics
- Support reconciliation of settlements, refunds, and disputes
- Develop reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI
- Conduct benchmarking against industry best practices and recommend strategy enhancements
- Forecast transaction volumes and support budget planning
- Monitor regulatory compliance and assist with risk mitigation
- Participate in cross-functional projects improving payment processes
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in finance, business, IT, or related field
- 5+ years experience in payment solutions or financial services
- In-depth knowledge of payment systems and alternative payment methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power BI
- Experience in vendor management and system support
- Familiarity with fraud prevention and regulatory compliance in payment systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
