Job description
The Director - Landscape at Dubai Holding Real Estate will be responsible for leading and managing the landscape development process of projects to ensure the company’s vision and objectives are met. This includes master planning, design, procurement, consultant management, execution, and ensuring technical and financial compliance. The role requires collaboration with architects, contractors, and designers to develop outdoor spaces that align with the company’s vision. The director will oversee risk management, budget control, and reporting while staying up to date with industry trends and best practices.

Key responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of the landscape development process including master planning, design, procurement, consultant appointment, and design execution
- Review landscape design submissions for technical and commercial compliance and lead value engineering exercises
- Prioritize horticultural tasks and coordinate implementation with consultants
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and designers to align outdoor spaces with project vision
- Develop and manage budgets for landscape projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements and quality standards
- Review preparation of project-specific development and design briefs
- Identify, document, and mitigate risk items for each business case
- Manage landscape consultants to ensure timely and efficient completion of responsibilities
- Provide regular feedback on project status, risks, and feasibility
- Coordinate with stakeholders and business affiliates for seamless collaboration
- Prepare management reports to support decision-making
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
Experience & skills
- 10–12 years’ experience in design/project management, with 6 years in senior capacity in the landscape industry
- Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field
- Certified PMP (Project Management Professional)
- Knowledge of real estate development processes, regulations, and standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD
- Strong project management skills including planning, scheduling, and risk management
- Financial acumen to manage budgets, cash flow, and financial statements
- Strategic thinking and ability to implement business plans
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail in reviewing technical and financial documents
- Negotiation skills for contracts and agreements
