Job description
The role oversees financial governance and control for strategic projects across MEA within a health insurance context, operating as part of the MEA FP&A team. Responsibilities span developing and maintaining project budgets, financial forecasts, and financial models; monitoring actual versus budgeted costs; and ensuring timely financial reporting. The mandate includes implementing financial controls, ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and UAE regulatory requirements, and conducting financial risk assessments. The role acts as a financial liaison between Finance and Technology teams, providing financial insights during steering committee meetings and collaborating with procurement and vendor management teams to support contract compliance. It further supports system implementation through financial input into system design and testing, validating data migration, and ensuring financial integrity in new administration systems. Technical tools referenced include ERP systems, advanced Excel, Oracle or similar general ledger packages, and frameworks related to internal policies and regulatory compliance within the insurance industry.

Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred
- Bring 5–10 years of experience in financial control with exposure to project accounting and system implementation
- Possess knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and UAE regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrate proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel
- Bring experience with Oracle or similar general ledger systems
- Show experience within the health insurance or broader insurance industry
- Exhibit strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities
