Job description
The Senior Sales Manager - Asia Pacific is responsible for developing and managing lubricants business across new and existing international markets within the Asia Pacific region. The role supports ADNOC Distribution's global sales segment, contributing to sales strategy, operational excellence, and marketing activities. The role involves conducting feasibility studies, identifying and evaluating potential distributors, managing export sales operations, coordinating marketing plans, and leading business development in untapped markets. Responsibilities also include customer relationship management, credit risk assessments, collections, and ensuring compliance with internal and regional procedures. The position reports to the Department Manager International Sales and liaises with internal departments and external agents, customers, and regulatory entities.

Key responsibilities
- Formulate and submit sales strategy and realistic objectives through market analysis and forecasting
- Plan and coordinate market insight gathering from limited data sources
- Conduct feasibility studies for new markets and products
- Identify new markets and prospective distributors, aligning with evaluation criteria
- Achieve assigned sales and margin budgets
- Maintain and update export price schedules, prepare Sales Orders and Proforma Invoices
- Promote lubricant products using historical and trend analysis
- Maintain personal contact with major customers and respond promptly to issues
- Plan and execute customer engagement activities including seminars and workshops
- Collect and report competitor data such as pricing, credit terms, market share
- Set sales targets and develop business plans with distributors
- Discuss customer feedback with agents/distributors and resolve issues
- Represent the company at seminars and exhibitions
- Develop and implement marketing plans for Retail and Commercial segments
- Recommend product range, channels, pricing, and promotion strategies
- Initiate new customer business in existing markets
- Launch business in new countries and segments with tailored products/services
- Ensure timely debt collection and credit risk mitigation
- Investigate new customers' creditworthiness and manage credit limits
- Respond to customer inquiries across time zones and manage order status updates
- Coordinate technical/commercial complaints with the Plant to resolve efficiently
- Develop internal/external relationships with high ethical standards
- Supervise team activities and ensure cost-effective departmental operations
- Provide input for budgets and monitor team expenditure
- Implement and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Apply the companyâs performance management system for the team
- Recommend team structure to optimize human capital and sustainability
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement aligned with ISO standards
- Ensure HSE compliance and training across the team
- Prepare MIS and progress reports for management
Experience & skills
- Bachelorâs degree in Engineering, Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration
- 10 years of experience in lubricant sales operations
- Minimum 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in the lubricant sector
- Deep understanding of lubricant business and operational management
- Track record of initiating international lubricant business
- Demonstrated success improving international distributor operations
- Knowledge of business workflows, processes, and systems
- Experience in strategic planning for lubricant industry
- Knowledge of ADNOC Distribution operations and regional regulations
- Strong financial management skills
