This is a full-time role, operating Monday to Saturday on-site in Abu Dhabi.
Required skills

- Act as the lead technical liaison between design team, contractors, and client representatives.
- Resolve construction-related design conflicts in real time while preserving design intent.
- Oversee shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality of workmanship, materials, and systems.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, international codes, and sustainability targets such as LEED or BREEAM.
- Lead defect prevention and resolution processes in coordination with contractors.
- Review construction methodologies, sequencing, and logistics to optimize efficiency and safety.
- Collaborate on value engineering initiatives while maintaining design quality.
- Assess temporary works, structural interfaces, and MEP coordination.
- Identify and escalate critical technical risks that may affect schedule or budget.
- Prepare daily and weekly technical reports for leadership, documenting site progress and issues.
- Support the testing and commissioning process to ensure systems perform as designed.
Experience & skills
- Chartered Engineer/Architect credentials (PE, RIBA, AIA, or equivalent) preferred.
- 15+ years of technical design and construction supervision experience, ideally on landmark high-rise, mixed-use, or cultural developments.
- Strong problem-solving skills in on-site settings, particularly with faƧade systems, structural interfaces, MEP coordination, and waterproofing.
- Extensive knowledge of construction techniques and modern delivery methods including design-build and fast-track.
- Proficiency in BIM/Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and construction management software.
- Familiarity with local building codes, permitting, and inspection processes.
