Job description
The Senior Buyer role at Mezzan Holding Company within the FMCG food category is responsible for tactical and operational procurement activities across assigned purchase requisitions and material groups. The role involves building buying plans based on customer needs, product trends, and historical records, monitoring the PR to PO process to identify development opportunities, and handling day-to-day procurement transactions. Responsibilities include sourcing suppliers and service providers, obtaining technical and commercial quotations, validating, analyzing, and negotiating quotations, monitoring delivery compliance, circulating procurement and delivery reports, obtaining required approvals before committing to suppliers, and placing official purchase orders via SAP. The role also maintains material and vendor master records, supports new product development initiatives based on purchasing manager guidance, conducts business meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders, and develops and prepares business and KPI reports. The position operates within a food commodities and FMCG environment, emphasizing strategic sourcing, management of high-value and critical spend categories, cost reduction initiatives, procurement digitalization, category management, and supplier relationship management within a large regional conglomerate operating across food, beverage, FMCG, and healthcare sectors.

- Build buying plans for assigned purchase requisitions and material groups based on customer needs, product trends, and historical records
- Monitor the PR to PO process and identify procurement development opportunities
- Handle day-to-day procurement transactions for assigned material groups
- Contact suppliers and service providers to obtain technical and commercial quotations
- Validate, analyze, and negotiate commercial quotations with suppliers
- Monitor delivery compliance and circulate related reports to relevant stakeholders
- Obtain required internal approvals prior to placing commitments with suppliers
- Place official purchase orders through SAP systems
- Maintain material master data and vendor master records
- Support new product development initiatives based on purchasing manager guidance
- Conduct business meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Develop, prepare, and present procurement, business, and KPI reports
Experience & skills
- Hold a business administration or engineering degree
- Possess a minimum of 5+ years of experience in supply chain management or procurement roles
- Demonstrate SAP knowledge and experience in food commodities procurement
- Show experience in strategic sourcing and managing high-value and critical spend categories
- Have exposure to KPI-driven procurement including category management, cost reduction initiatives, procurement digitalization, and supplier relationship management
- Professional certifications such as CPP, CISCP, or CPPM are considered an advantage
