Job description
The OpenShift Virtualization role is a senior-level cloud and containerization position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, requiring over seven years of experience with a minimum of five years focused on cloud technologies. The role centers on designing, implementing, and managing OpenShift and OpenShift Virtualization environments built on Linux and Kubernetes platforms. It involves deep expertise in containerization, infrastructure automation, and GitOps principles, alongside hands-on experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Nexus, and API management solutions including Red Hat 3Scale. The position operates within complex, high-availability environments characterized by high transaction volumes and geographic distribution. The role requires working across public cloud providers including Oracle Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure, with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals. Responsibilities extend to capacity planning, resource management, and vendor management while delivering real-time projects in agile environments. The role integrates DevSecOps tools such as SonarQube, Checkmarx, Nexus IQ, and Sysdig into CI/CD pipelines, utilizes scripting languages like Groovy, Ansible, and Terraform, and manages logging and monitoring stacks including ELK and Splunk. Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage OpenShift and OpenShift Virtualization environments on Linux and Kubernetes platforms
- Implement GitOps principles and infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, and related tooling
- Manage containerized cloud environments operating under high availability, high transaction volumes, and geographic complexity
- Integrate API management solutions such as Red Hat 3Scale within OpenShift ecosystems
- Deploy and manage workloads across public cloud platforms including Oracle Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure
- Plan and manage system capacity, cloud resources, and infrastructure scalability
- Integrate DevSecOps tools including SonarQube, Checkmarx, Nexus IQ, and Sysdig into CI/CD pipelines
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Groovy, Ansible, and Terraform
- Operate and manage logging and monitoring stacks such as ELK and Splunk
- Deliver real-time cloud and virtualization projects using agile methodologies and established delivery frameworks
Experience & skills
- Possess over seven years of overall experience with at least five years in cloud technologies including Linux, OpenShift, OpenShift Virtualization, and Kubernetes
- Demonstrate strong expertise in GitOps principles and infrastructure automation
- Have hands-on experience with Nexus, Terraform, Ansible, API Management, and Red Hat 3Scale
- Exhibit experience operating within complex, high-availability, high-transaction, and geographically distributed environments
- Demonstrate knowledge of public cloud providers including Oracle Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure
- Maintain a solid understanding of basic networking fundamentals
- Show experience in capacity planning, resource management, and vendor management
