Job description
The AI Product Owner is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering AI-driven products aligned with business objectives and enterprise AI strategy within a banking and financial services context. The role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders, data science teams, and engineering teams to ensure AI solutions deliver measurable business value while adhering to governance, compliance, and ethical AI standards. The position requires a blend of management consulting experience and hands-on exposure to AI startups or emerging technology environments, combining strategic thinking with execution agility. The role encompasses ownership of AI product vision, roadmap, backlog, and delivery while ensuring compliance with internal governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and responsible AI principles such as fairness, transparency, and explainability. The AI Product Owner continuously evaluates market trends, customer feedback, and emerging AI technologies, defines KPIs and success metrics, monitors adoption and performance, and drives continuous improvement using data-driven insights and user feedback. Collaboration with AI Governance, Risk, and Security teams is required to embed appropriate controls across AI solutions, ensuring enterprise alignment and ethical deployment.

- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-driven products in alignment with organizational goals and enterprise AI strategy
- Translate business needs into detailed AI product requirements and prioritize features based on value and feasibility
- Continuously assess market trends, customer feedback, and emerging AI technologies to inform ongoing product evolution
- Own and manage the AI product backlog to ensure clarity, prioritization, and alignment with sprint and delivery goals
- Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality AI features
- Define acceptance criteria and validate AI deliverables against stated business objectives
- Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and expectations
- Communicate AI product vision, progress, and outcomes to executives and cross-functional teams
- Facilitate workshops and product demos to gather stakeholder feedback and drive adoption
- Ensure AI products comply with internal governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and responsible AI principles
- Partner with AI Governance, Risk, and Security teams to embed controls for fairness, transparency, and explainability
- Define KPIs and success metrics for AI products and monitor performance and adoption
- Drive continuous improvement of AI products through data-driven insights and structured user feedback
Experience & skills
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field with an MBA preferred
- Possess 8+ years of experience in product management with at least 3 years focused on AI/ML or data-driven products, or management consulting experience in strategy, operating models, or transformation programs, or startup experience in AI or emerging technologies
- Demonstrate strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, model lifecycle management, and enterprise data platforms
- Have experience working with Agile methodologies and backlog management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Exhibit familiarity with AI governance, regulatory compliance requirements, and ethical or responsible AI practices
