Job description
The Systems Engineer II ā BMS & Fire Alarm at Honeywell is responsible for the engineering, integration, and commissioning of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems including Building Management Systems (BMS), Fire Alarm, and Public Address & Voice Alarm (PAVA). Based in Riyadh, this on-site role focuses on ensuring system design excellence, compliance with international standards, and seamless delivery of automation and safety solutions across large-scale infrastructure projects. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, remote engineering centers, and clients to deliver reliable, cost-effective, and compliant system installations that meet project timelines and performance objectives. This position demands a strong technical foundation in ELV systems, project management skills, and a customer-centric mindset.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Design, engineer, and integrate ELV systems including Fire Alarm, BMS, and PAVA according to project specifications.
- Ensure full compliance with international standards (NFPA, EN, BS) and project scope requirements.
- Conduct system risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to minimize operational and safety risks.
- Perform value engineering to optimize material selection, cost, and performance.
- Collaborate with user experience and remote engineering teams to deliver tailored system solutions.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning phases to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Manage project documentation, schedules, and milestones, ensuring adherence to client expectations.
- Maintain strong communication and relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Provide cost estimation and VO analysis for project variations and scope adjustments.
- Promote continuous improvement, standardization, and best practices in engineering and commissioning processes.
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Control Engineering (or related discipline).
- 5ā7 years of hands-on experience in the design, installation, and commissioning of ELV systems (Fire Alarm, BMS, PAVA, CCTV, Access Control).
- Comprehensive understanding of integration across BMS, Fire Alarm, and PAVA systems.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA, EN, and BS standards.
- Proficiency in project scheduling, documentation, and cost management.
- Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and customer management skills.
- Proven track record of delivering technically sound and cost-effective ELV solutions.
