Job description
The Senior Procurement Buyer role at Honeywell in Dubai sits within the Corporate (CORP) function and is responsible for driving indirect procurement excellence across multiple sites with high spend complexity. The role focuses on identifying and delivering savings opportunities through negotiations, consumption reduction, value engineering initiatives, and competitive sourcing processes such as RFPs, RFQs, and eAuctions. The position supports Honeywell’s diverse businesses spanning aerospace technologies, building automation, energy and sustainability solutions, and industrial automation. The Senior Procurement Buyer collaborates closely with business stakeholders, commodity strategic teams, procurement operations buyers, and requisitioners to develop and execute the Annual Operating Plan, implement category strategies, improve productivity, and optimize working capital. The role covers more than four sites with cumulative annual addressable spend exceeding USD 5 million and is accountable for delivering savings of more than 7% of in-scope spend, while ensuring full compliance with Honeywell’s indirect procurement policies and strategies. The role also supports procurement automation initiatives and may lead high-value sourcing projects exceeding USD 250,000 in alignment with strategic category teams.

Key responsibilities
- Identify and drive savings opportunities through negotiations, consumption reduction, and value engineering initiatives
- Conduct eAuctions for goods and services to ensure best value offerings for the business
- Revisit and renegotiate agreed terms with existing suppliers to improve productivity and working capital
- Develop and implement the Annual Operating Plan in collaboration with the business and Commodity Strategic Teams
- Create and strategically apply Category Cards for supported sites and countries
- Drive BAE execution in strong collaboration with business partners and key stakeholders
- Engage with stakeholders and requisitioners to improve understanding of indirect procurement processes and tools
- Support the implementation of procurement automation opportunities for assigned sites
- Maintain strong collaboration with Procurement Operations Buyers to ensure shared target achievement
- Ensure all sourcing and procurement activities comply with indirect procurement policies and strategies
- Manage procurement activities across more than four sites with high complexity and annual spend exceeding USD 5 million
- Deliver savings exceeding 7% of the annual addressable spend within scope
- Lead ad hoc sourcing projects with spend exceeding USD 250,000 when aligned with Strategic Category Teams and site proximity
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement environment
- Proven track record of running and managing competitive selection processes including RFPs, RFQs, and eAuctions
- Technical knowledge of procurement and sourcing practices
- Experience in planning, negotiations, and agreements or contract management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Fluency in English with additional language proficiency considered an advantage
