Job description
The Relationship Manager – Small Business Finance role is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining business relationships with Small Business Finance (SBF) clients in Dubai to fulfill their banking and financing requirements. The role focuses on enhancing customer relationships through regular planned meetings, maintaining strong business engagement, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and improving service quality. The position is accountable for driving revenue, managing expenses, contributing to net income growth, and overseeing asset performance within the SBF portfolio. Key performance dimensions include consumer satisfaction, loan and financing repayment performance, delinquency rates, customer retention, substantiated complaints, and adherence to regulatory requirements, best practices guidelines, and codes of conduct. The role also monitors the number of valid customer complaints, percentage of delinquent customers, and customer exits due to financial crime compliance reasons. The position requires strong knowledge of ADIB’s Business Banking products and services, operational policies and procedures, credit analysis and appraisal techniques, UAE banking regulations and risks, Anti-Money Laundering regulations issued by the UAE Central Bank and other regulatory authorities, competitor awareness within the local market, service standards, cross-selling practices, and effective use of computer systems to manage client relationships and portfolio performance.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with Small Business Finance clients to fulfill their banking and financing requirements
- Conduct regular planned client meetings to enhance customer relationships and identify cross-sell opportunities
- Manage revenue, expenses, net income, and asset performance within the assigned Small Business Finance portfolio
- Monitor loan and financing repayment performance, delinquency rates, and customer retention metrics
- Ensure high levels of consumer satisfaction and service quality in line with service standards
- Manage and track substantiated customer complaints and reduce valid customer complaints
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, best practices guidelines, and codes of conduct
- Monitor customer exits related to financial crime compliance and ensure adherence to AML requirements
- Apply credit appraisal techniques including credit, risk, business, and financial analysis in client assessments
- Maintain awareness of competitors and market conditions within the local UAE banking environment
Experience & skills
- Good knowledge of ADIB’s Business Banking products and services
- Experience in credit analysis and credit appraisal techniques including risk, business, and financial analysis
- Good knowledge of ADIB’s operational policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Business Relationship Management within a banking environment
- Fair knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations, and risks
- Good knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering regulations issued by the UAE Central Bank and other regulatory authorities
- General awareness of competitors in the local market
- Excellent knowledge of service standards and cross-selling practices
- Proficiency in computer skills relevant to banking operations
