The Performance Marketing Executive (Media Buyer) role at Opontia is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with scope for candidates from KSA or the UAE, and operates within a digital-first consumer goods group managing and scaling high-growth e-commerce brands across MENAT and Central & Eastern Europe. The role is responsible for overseeing the negotiation and purchasing of advertising inventory to ensure that advertising campaigns reach target audiences through optimal media channels at the most cost-effective rates. The position focuses on performance-driven media buying across digital media channels, assisting in identifying target audiences, organizing media campaigns, and optimizing media plans and budgets to achieve maximum ad exposure, efficiency, and return on investment. Responsibilities include researching and evaluating audience characteristics, purchasing behavior, and media consumption habits; conducting media research; comparing rates; purchasing ad space and airtime; sampling and testing new platforms and channels; monitoring campaign costs and ROI; and modifying media schedules based on updated audience figures. The role requires close liaison with media owners to ensure accuracy of statistics, circulation, and viewing figures, and the preparation of media recommendations including timing strategies and cost breakdowns to support informed advertising decisions. The Performance Marketing Executive provides structured reporting to stakeholders and supports long-term client relationships through data-driven insights, operating within a fast-paced, competitive advertising and e-commerce environment.

- Test and evaluate new advertising platforms and channels to identify performance opportunities.
- Monitor campaign costs, performance metrics, and ROI throughout execution.
- Research and analyze audience characteristics, purchasing behavior, and media consumption habits.
- Liaise with media owners to ensure accuracy of statistics, circulation data, and viewing figures.
- Prepare media recommendations including timing strategies and detailed cost breakdowns for future advertising decisions.
- Adjust and modify media schedules in response to updated audience and performance data.
- Produce campaign performance reports and insights for internal stakeholders and clients.
Experience & skills
- Have prior working experience as a Media Buyer or in a similar performance marketing role.
- Demonstrate experience in digital media buying and performance-driven advertising campaigns.
- Be knowledgeable in media buying, media planning, and media research methodologies.
- Possess solid knowledge of media analytics software such as comScore.
- Hold a BSc or BA in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field.
- Demonstrate strong spoken and written proficiency in both Arabic and English.
