Job description
Design correctness, completeness and compliance with the scope of work sit at the core of this Engineering Interface Engineer role, monitored continuously across the Design Consultant's output. You control and manage Senior Discipline Engineers within the Project Management Team on all design aspects, keeping engineering and design information flowing between stakeholders in a timely manner. Reviews and audits get identified and implemented wherever needed to assure interface management performance. Variation orders and concession requests submitted by the Design Consultant get evaluated and endorsed for Client approval. Meetings with the Design Consultant, sub-consultants and the Client all fall within scope, alongside project design strategy reviews and recommendations back to the client. Weekly and monthly interface management meetings get supported proactively to close outstanding issues, with alternative materials or systems suggested to improve process design, future maintenance and construction cost. Pre-qualification questionnaires for design consultants and building contractors get prepared, supporting the pre-qualification process and bidder recommendations. Submittals to government departments get monitored through to final permit approval, and technical support gets coordinated with the regional or home office to keep design work correct and complete. Compliance with Hill International's Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health policies runs throughout every part of the job.
