Job description
The Senior Vice President of Financial Communications at Teneo Riyadh leads integrated advisory services for corporate and government clients across the Middle East. The role requires developing and deploying comprehensive communications and investor relations strategies, including advising on engagement with buy and sell-side stakeholders, institutional, retail, and governmental shareholders. The position involves account management across multiple teams, providing strategic counsel to clients, coaching and mentoring junior colleagues, preparing financial communications materials such as earnings announcements, investor presentations, Q&As, and media talking points. This executive supports new business development, manages client relationships, delivers insight and analysis, and contributes to Teneo’s integrated service offerings across financial, M&A, digital, creative campaigning, corporate communications, change management, sustainability, strategy, research, issues and crisis management, and restructuring. The role requires fluency in Arabic, a deep understanding of finance, capital markets, investor relations, the Saudi market, and experience leading multicultural teams while maintaining high-quality, strategic client service.

Key responsibilities
- Provide investor and capital markets expertise to guide clients in engagement with stakeholders, stock exchanges, institutional, retail, and governmental shareholders
- Lead the creation and deployment of communications strategies leveraging client insights, research, and Teneo’s multidisciplinary resources across financial, corporate, and M&A communications
- Oversee the development and implementation of investor relations and financial communications strategies, including earnings announcements, investor presentations, Q&As, media talking points, and risk analysis and mitigation plans
- Manage account delivery, coordinating a team of experts to ensure high-quality client service and acting as the main point of contact for client interactions
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively managing expectations, identifying opportunities for growth, and resolving issues in alignment with client objectives
- Support new business development by cultivating networks, leading proposals, participating in client pitches, and demonstrating commercial acumen in costing and delivery management
- Coach and mentor Senior Associates and Vice Presidents, managing performance reviews, career growth, and professional development within the team
- Develop advisory notes for client leadership addressing media narratives, financial markets insights, geopolitical risks, and reputational issues while monitoring media coverage for clients and competitors
Experience & skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, journalism, political science, law, public policy, international relations, business, finance, accounting, or a related field
- 7–10+ years of experience in strategy, communications, or finance/investor relations, agency or in-house
- Strong understanding of finance, capital markets, and investor relations
- Experience in the Saudi market including media, investor relations, and business landscapes
- Native or fluent proficiency in Arabic
- Proven leadership skills in multicultural and interdisciplinary settings
- Experience providing senior client counsel on corporate reputational and market-related topics
- Ability to understand clients’ business objectives and industry dynamics to draft compelling narratives and content
- Experience working with international media and managing crises or issues
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word), data analysis and visualization
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing junior colleagues
