Job description
The Project Documentation Manager at Alstom in Riyadh is responsible for defining, implementing, and executing documentation management within railway and mobility system projects, covering the full documentation lifecycle from creation through validation and customer submission. Working within Alstom’s global rail transportation portfolio spanning high-speed trains, metros, trams, signalling, infrastructure, and digital mobility, the role ensures that all contractual and customer documentation requirements are met in alignment with the Documentation Management Plan (DMP). The position involves managing documentation KPIs related to quality and on-time delivery, ensuring adherence to defined processes through inspections, and overseeing documentation validation prior to customer submission. The role also includes maintaining oversight of project milestones, including payment milestones and penalties, while coordinating closely with cross-functional project teams. The position requires strong familiarity with railway domain requirements and documentation systems such as Lascom AEC, Acomis, Project Wise, and Aconex, contributing to innovative, compliant, and efficient delivery of rail projects in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities
- Define and implement documentation management processes within assigned projects
- Manage documentation management requirements received from the customer
- Ensure rules defined in the Documentation Management Plan (DMP) are understood and applied by all project team members
- Execute and oversee the full documentation lifecycle across the project
- Ensure all documentation is properly validated before submission to the customer
- Track and manage documentation management KPIs related to quality and contractual delivery timelines
- Ensure adherence to documentation processes through regular process inspections
- Maintain oversight of project milestones including general milestones, payment milestones, and penalties
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional and transverse teams to support project documentation execution
Experience & skills
- Degree in technical documentation
- Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in documentation management
- Demonstrated knowledge of the railway domain
- Familiarity with documentation and project management systems including Lascom AEC, Acomis, Project Wise, and Aconex
- Experience managing contractual documentation within large-scale infrastructure or rail projects
- Ability to manage documentation KPIs, validation processes, and milestone tracking within regulated environments
