Job description
The Operations Supervisor role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and operates within banking operations with a primary focus on payments and remittances. The role functions as an authorizer and checker for bulk fund transfers, CB UAEFTS transactions, and other operational activities. The position supports the department manager and department head to ensure the smooth, secure, and compliant functioning of departmental processes in line with agreed bank policies, procedures, and Central Bank regulations and guidelines. The role includes oversight of centralized operations covering inward and outward fund transfers such as salary payments, pension transfers, internal department transfers, and other centralized payment processes. The Operations Supervisor handles RPA BOT activities related to bulk payments, manages offshore activities supporting bulk payment processing, and oversees MIS activities related to bulk payments. Responsibilities include reviewing all transactions against day-end reports to ensure accuracy and genuineness, reporting significant exceptions or deviations to management, maintaining proper record storage and timely archival, verifying and approving transaction and account reconciliations, and ensuring corrective action on outstanding items. The role actively supports operational risk management through participation in RCSA-GRC exercises, BCM activities including BIA, BCP, and call testing, and maintains high standards of operational controls in compliance with ADIB policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards. Additional responsibilities include handling customer disputes and inquiries, supporting automation initiatives through RPA-related projects, assisting with staff training and mentoring, and backing up the department head during absences while contributing to continuous improvement of operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities
- Authorize and check bulk fund transfer transactions, CB UAEFTS transactions, and other operational activities.
- Review and approve customer account-related transactions under centralized operations including inward and outward fund transfers such as salary payments, pension transfers, and internal department transfers.
- Handle RPA BOT activities related to bulk payments and support RPA automation processes.
- Manage offshore activities related to bulk payment processing.
- Prepare and manage MIS activities and reporting related to bulk payments.
- Review all transactions against day-end reports to ensure accuracy and genuineness.
- Report significant exceptions or deviations to department or division management for guidance and action.
- Ensure organized storage, maintenance, and timely archival of all department records.
- Verify and approve reconciliation of transactions and accounts and ensure corrective action on outstanding items.
- Undertake and support training programs to enhance role performance and provide training to junior staff.
- Assist the team leader in maintaining time standards, team spirit, and service standards.
- Ensure full compliance with ADIB policies, procedures, guidelines, standards, and high operational control requirements.
- Work with the department head on automation initiatives involving RPA processes and cross-department collaboration.
- Participate in monthly and periodic RCSA-GRC exercises to minimize risk and strengthen operational controls.
- Participate in BCM activities including BIA, BCP, and call testing exercises.
- Handle customer disputes and inquiries related to payments and operations.
- Undertake additional assignments or projects assigned by line management as required.
Experience & skills
- Have 2–3 years of banking experience with relevant exposure to remittances and payments operations.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of bank policies and banking product knowledge.
- Possess strong knowledge of payments processes and relevant banking systems.
- Have good understanding of technological issues with sound analytical ability and PC skills.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills in English, with knowledge of Arabic preferred.
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
