Job description
The Universal Banker role at the BR-Dubai Hills Mall Branch focuses on delivering exceptional customer service within ADIB’s branch development concept by combining Helpdesk and Customer Relationship Officer (CRO) responsibilities. The role involves serving walk-in customers, addressing inquiries, resolving service issues, and proactively identifying customer needs to offer appropriate ADIB retail banking products and services. Core responsibilities span liability onboarding, covered cards, debit card inquiries, account-related services, SMS communications, police letters for returned cheques, dispute services, standing order setup, cancellation and amendments, funds and telex transfers, installment postponements, certificate and e-statement issuance, and end-to-end returned cheque and debit card/cheque book services. The Universal Banker must operate in full compliance with ADIB operational policies, UAE banking regulations, Central Bank of UAE regulations, and established service standards. Asset sales activities are expected to be nominal during 2025, with any targets or incentives to be discussed separately. The role is open exclusively to UAE Nationals and contributes directly to the operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction of the ADIB branch.

Key responsibilities
- Provide prompt and efficient service to all walk-in customers at the branch
- Respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints and resolve issues effectively and efficiently
- Identify customer needs proactively and offer relevant ADIB products and services
- Perform liability onboarding and covered card processing
- Handle debit card inquiries and general account inquiries
- Send SMS notifications to customers as required
- Issue police letters related to returned cheques
- Process dispute services in accordance with policies
- Set up, cancel, and amend standing orders
- Execute funds transfer and telex transfer transactions
- Process installment postponement requests
- Issue certificates and electronic statements
- Manage returned cheque services including receiving, delivering, and sending items to CCU
- Handle debit card and cheque book services including receiving, delivering, and destruction
- Support nominal asset sales activities as directed by branch management
- Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by branch management as required
Experience & skills
- Knowledge of ADIB retail and institutional banking products and services
- Knowledge of ADIB operational policies and procedures
- Knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations, and risks
- Thorough knowledge of regulations issued by the Central Bank of UAE
