Job description
The Lead Infrastructure Engineer role at Inception, a G42 company, is responsible for leading the architecture, deployment, and optimization of hybrid Azure and on-premises environments that support AI-powered, domain-specific and industry-agnostic products. The role operates within the Information Technology Operations function and focuses on transforming data and compute infrastructure into real-world applied AI solutions. The position involves overseeing infrastructure modernization initiatives using Azure services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow and Jira, and DevOps and DevSecOps practices. The role ensures disaster recovery, business continuity, operational resilience, and high availability of critical systems while managing incidents and adhering to ITIL change management processes. The Lead Infrastructure Engineer collaborates across engineering, product, cloud, networking, and security teams to design, implement, troubleshoot, and modernize enterprise environments, including Azure Virtual Desktop, container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift, and high-performance computing environments with GPU clusters using NVIDIA and AMD hardware and SLURM workload management. The role requires deep expertise in identity and access management using Entra ID, data encryption standards, regulatory compliance, and implementation of ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR within Azure and hybrid environments. The position also includes ownership of RFPs, enterprise solution architecture considering cost, risk, and compliance, and the use of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python for automation. Inception offers a culture centered on innovation, inclusivity, continuous learning, and high-impact AI infrastructure development, with competitive rewards including healthcare, education support, leave benefits, and structured career growth opportunities.
