Teneo is a global advisory firm providing strategic counsel to private and public sector leaders across Strategy and Communications, Management Consulting, Financial Advisory, Risk Advisory, and People Advisory. The Senior Associate β Digital | Strategy & Communications (6-month fixed-term contract) role is based in Dubai and sits within the Strategy and Communications Digital team in the Middle East. The position supports high-profile corporate and government clients by advising on how to leverage digital and social media to build effective narratives, manage reputation, engage key audiences, and deliver proactive storytelling aligned with strategic objectives. The role involves horizon scanning across market, audience, geopolitical, and business trends; monitoring emerging news, platforms, and technologies; and identifying strategic opportunities impacting online reputation and digital engagement. Responsibilities include leading integrated social media monitoring and advisory, developing client-ready presentations and reports, supporting digital communications planning and implementation through research, ideation, content creation, copywriting, and reputational risk assessments, and collaborating with graphic designers and video editors. The Senior Associate supports account management, PMO activities, client relationship management, and new business development while mentoring Executives and Associates and working closely with Vice Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, and Managing Directors. The role requires strong understanding of the regional media and geopolitical landscape, experience in strategy or communications roles, and the ability to work across sectors including energy, technology, FMCG, financial services, and government, within a hybrid and flexible working environment.

Key responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning across market, audience, geopolitical, and business trends and the digital environment to identify emerging news, platforms, and technologies of strategic importance
- Lead integrated social media monitoring and advisory by creating reports evaluating campaigns, initiatives, and relevant fields of interest and presenting implications for future strategy
- Support digital communications planning and implementation through research, ideation, content creation, copywriting, and input into reputational risk assessments
- Collaborate with graphic designers, video editors, and content creators to develop visually engaging digital materials and client-ready documents including presentations and reports
- Support account management by monitoring progress, flagging issues, mentoring Executives and Associates, supporting PMO activities, and owning specific deliverables end-to-end
- Build and maintain client relationships, proactively identifying opportunities and potential areas of concern
- Support new business development by conducting research, developing insights, and contributing to proposal development
- Coach and mentor junior team members while contributing to learning, development, and knowledge sharing across the wider team
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelorβs degree or higher in communications, journalism, political science, law, public policy, international relations, business, digital marketing, or a related field
- Bring 3β5 years of experience in a strategy or communications role, either agency-side or in-house
- Demonstrate a strong grasp of digital communications and deep understanding of the regional media and geopolitical landscape
- Exhibit experience providing client counsel based on in-depth understanding of client business objectives, sector dynamics, and wider corporate reputational issues
- Show strong analytical, data visualisation, presentation, and project management capabilities with excellent command of Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word
