Job description
The Total Portfolio Solutions (TPS) Senior Consultant at Northern Trust in Abu Dhabi is a senior client-facing position responsible for delivering high-impact investment performance, risk measurement, and analytical solutions to asset owners, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and institutional investors across the Middle East. The role involves leading the service delivery of TPS clients and supporting the evolution of Northern Trustâs integrated investment performance and risk analytics capabilities. The Senior Consultant will focus on servicing clients subscribed to traditional performance solutions as well as Front Office Solutionsâa holistic, multi-asset offering combining operational services and analytics for portfolio management, investment decision support, and operational risk management. Responsibilities include overseeing the end-to-end delivery of TPS solutions, acting as the primary point of contact for key accounts, ensuring operational excellence, resolving complex client issues, and aligning solutions with clientsâ strategic investment goals. The position also demands cross-functional collaboration with product, business development, and analytics teams to identify cross-sell opportunities, enhance system demonstrations, and drive product innovation. The consultant will apply deep expertise in performance measurement methodologiesâcovering equities, fixed income, and alternative investmentsâto deliver consolidated reporting, attribution, and benchmarking analysis across private and public markets. Additionally, the role includes supporting new product development, streamlining analytical processes, and mentoring team members. This role requires a strong technical foundation in investment analysis, financial software, private markets analytics, and performance attribution combined with client service acumen and consultative sales support skills. Candidates should have experience managing multi-asset class portfolios, handling private market data, and working in complex institutional environments, with advanced proficiency in Excel and related analytical tools.

Key responsibilities
- Lead the service delivery for high-value and strategic Total Portfolio Solutions (TPS) clients, ensuring exceptional operational standards and business alignment
- Act as the main point of contact for client engagements, providing expert investment performance guidance and resolving complex client queries
- Collaborate with business development teams to identify and execute cross-sell opportunities within Northern Trustâs TPS product suite
- Drive innovation by streamlining, automating, and scaling TPS processes to enhance efficiency and data accuracy
- Deliver consolidated performance reporting across multi-asset portfolios, including public and private market investments
- Apply performance measurement and attribution expertise across asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and alternatives
- Develop and implement new performance analytics products to address changing client needs and market trends
- Participate in client onboarding and discovery sessions, setting expectations and maintaining transparent communication throughout project phases
- Provide subject matter expertise to internal and external stakeholders on investment analytics, risk reporting, and performance benchmarking
- Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering knowledge-sharing and professional development across the TPS function
Experience & skills
- Experience working with institutional clients managing complex multi-asset portfolios, including exposure to private markets
- Strong background in investment performance measurement, attribution, and analytics
- Proven experience in investment analysis, operations, or client servicing, ideally in a performance analytics or asset management environment
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with financial software systems, including Northern Trust or third-party performance platforms
- Ability to produce consolidated performance reports across asset classes using metrics such as IRR, TWR, and PME
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to interpret and present complex investment data
- Excellent client service and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven track record of working collaboratively with business development and product teams to enhance client engagement and sales opportunities
- Experience in process improvement, automation, or scalability initiatives in performance and risk analytics
