Job description
The Senior Specialist - SAP MM & EWM Consultant at Julphar is responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing SAP Material Management (MM), Warehouse Management (WM), and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical environment. The position plays a critical role in optimizing SAP processes, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and streamlining material flow and warehouse operations. The consultant will lead workshops to gather requirements, define functional specifications, and validate SAP configurations through detailed testing. The role involves providing expert guidance to end users, troubleshooting issues, and enhancing system performance. Additionally, it includes coordinating with cross-functional teams across procurement, production, and quality assurance to align system functionalities with business goals. The consultant will also support serialization, aggregation, and Track and Trace solutions to ensure full compliance and traceability of materials. Responsibilities extend to project planning, risk assessment, data migration, and change management activities. The role requires deep technical knowledge of SAP MM and EWM, experience with complex system integrations, and an understanding of GMP/GxP standards. The consultant must be capable of leading full project lifecycles, ensuring timely sign-offs, managing documentation and training materials, and driving process improvements aligned with regulatory standards and best practices in the pharmaceutical sector.

Key responsibilities
- Utilize expertise in SAP MM, WM, and EWM modules to design, configure, and implement solutions aligning with business requirements
- Lead workshops and gather stakeholder requirements to define functional specifications for SAP MM and WM enhancements
- Develop and execute detailed test plans to validate SAP configurations for accuracy and reliability
- Provide guidance and support to end users on SAP MM and WM processes, troubleshooting and optimizing system utilization
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and quality assurance teams to streamline material flow and warehouse operations
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other regulatory standards within SAP processes and warehouse operations
- Coordinate project activities to ensure all parties remain aligned with requirements, deadlines, and schedules
- Manage Track and Trace solutions including serialization and aggregation, ensuring integration with warehouse systems
- Continuously assess and improve SAP MM and WM functionalities to enhance efficiency and regulatory compliance
- Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and change management activities related to SAP implementations or upgrades
- Design and build technical processes that address business issues, ensuring scalability and compliance
- Facilitate project sign-offs, training completion, and stakeholder approval of deliverables within project timelines
- Coordinate development of user manuals, training materials, and other documentation to ensure smooth implementation and system turnover
- Support review and implementation of change requests, ensuring impacts to schedule and budget are clearly communicated
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the technology landscape and identify trends relevant to SAP MM and EWM processes
Experience & skills
- A strong supply chain background in the pharmaceutical industry with at least 8+ years of relevant experience
- In-depth knowledge of SAP MM, WM, and EWM functionalities including configuration, customization, and integration with other SAP modules
- Proven track record of successful SAP implementations in GMP-regulated environments
- Experience managing complex projects and data integrations across multiple systems
- Comprehensive understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)/GxP and related regulatory requirements
- Extensive experience as an SAP Consultant specializing in Material Management (MM) and Warehouse Management (WM), EWM modules
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot SAP-related issues and propose effective solutions
- Project management experience with ability to lead workshops, manage timelines, and ensure delivery of high-quality results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency with Office 365 tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA certification in Material Management (MM) and/or Warehouse Management (WM) preferred
