The Program Manager role at Riyad Bank in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is a senior-level position within the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient implementation of strategic programs across the bank’s divisions. The role acts as a critical liaison between project managers and program sponsors, ensuring continuous and effective communication to support successful execution of projects aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives. The Program Manager supports the Head of EPMO in developing and executing an enterprise-wide strategy, translating strategic goals into a structured portfolio of initiatives that can be delivered within organizational capacity constraints. The position ensures alignment of ongoing programs and projects with the bank’s strategic direction, maintaining adherence to the Project Delivery Framework and promoting project management discipline across all assigned divisions. The role involves contributing to the maturity transformation of the EPMO by advocating best practices in project governance, methodology adherence, and standardized delivery frameworks. The Program Manager ensures compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and governance standards, while recommending improvements to enhance project execution efficiency and consistency. The role is responsible for maintaining alignment between project managers and required project management frameworks, ensuring proper use of project artefacts such as business cases, project charters, and risk and issue logs. The position also includes responsibility for quality assurance of project deliverables, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational standards. Additionally, the Program Manager supports benefits realization efforts by ensuring that projects deliver expected business value and by assisting in corrective actions for underperforming initiatives. The role requires strong expertise in banking program management, advanced use of project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Atlassian platforms, and the ability to develop structured project documentation and reporting artifacts. Strong communication, critical thinking, and planning skills are essential for managing multiple stakeholders and ensuring alignment between strategic goals and execution outcomes.

- Support the Head of EPMO in developing and executing enterprise-wide program strategies aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives.
- Translate organizational strategy into a structured and executable portfolio of initiatives within capacity constraints.
- Ensure alignment of ongoing projects and programs with strategic goals across assigned business divisions.
- Promote adherence to the Project Delivery Framework and act as an advocate for project management best practices.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with departmental policies, governance standards, and project management procedures.
- Recommend improvements to project management policies, tools, templates, and governance frameworks to enhance execution efficiency.
- Ensure quality assurance of project deliverables including business cases, project charters, and risk and issue logs.
- Support benefits realization processes and assist in corrective actions for projects not meeting performance targets.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between project managers and program sponsors to ensure effective information flow.
- Utilize project management tools and systems such as Microsoft Project and Atlassian to track and manage program execution.
Experience & skills
- Have 8–10 years of experience in project or program management within banking or financial services organizations.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or Business, preferably with PMP or PMI certification.
- Demonstrate strong experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, MS Project Server, Atlassian, and similar platforms.
- Possess hands-on experience in preparing project management documentation including business cases, functional requirements, and project charters.
- Exhibit strong proficiency in MS Office tools including PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio for reporting and documentation purposes.
- Demonstrate expert-level competency in project and program management methodologies and governance frameworks.
- Possess strong communication, listening, writing, and presentation skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Exhibit strong critical thinking, planning, and organizational skills in managing complex programs in banking environments.
