Job description
The Logistics HSSE Advisor will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all road logistics and safety operations for Petrofac in Abu Dhabi. This includes traffic management, site security, and transportation welfare while ensuring compliance with local regulations and PETRONAS policies. The role supports HSSE performance improvement in areas such as field transport, material handling, and site access. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with HSE leadership and travel frequently to field locations.

Key responsibilities
- Administer, advise and improve HSSE reporting and data collection for HSSE performance metrics specific to journey management, road hazards, driving conditions, unsafe acts/conditions, near misses or incident reporting.
- Administer, advise and improve worker welfare through the development of a Well Being Procedure or Standing Instruction which ensures compliance to Exhibit V outlining requirements for worksite amenities.
- Administer, advise and improve HSSE controls/risk management for all traffic on PAD roadways, including the development and approval of traffic management plans, designating travel paths, traffic flows, signage, and parking areas.
- Administer, advise and implement required Security Site Access Procedures to manage unwanted access, incident restrictions, and prevent theft on PAD roadways/staging areas.
- Administer, advise and lead investigations of transportation or security incidents on PAD roadways including those involving dangerous goods and regulatory requirements.
- Provide assurance related to contractor and staff vehicles on journey management, load securement, transportation of dangerous goods, driver competency, and related requirements.
- Develop competency development standing instructions or PAD Procedures for staff and contractors including inductions, access rules, and expectations.
- Support and improve transportation or security investigations, contractor auditing, and HSSE training.
- Provide periodic trend analysis and strategic recommendations using collected HSSE and logistics data.
Experience & skills
- 7 - 10 Years of HSSE, Project Transportation Management and/or Security experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
- 5+ Years Experience in logistics coordination/management of contractors, auditing/assurance, incident investigation, and managing worker wellness in remote locations.
- Valid H2S Certificate.
- Ability to prepare and implement traffic control plans and site security processes.
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities under pressure.
- Proactive risk management approach.
- Experience using data to identify trends and at-risk themes.
- Physically fit to meet medical requirements.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
