Job description
The Senior Relationship Manager, Trade & Working Capital at Mashreq Bank is responsible for managing existing and soliciting new Trade & Working Capital (TWC) relationships within the Business Banking Division. The role focuses on achieving pre-set financial and non-financial objectives by actively sourcing new-to-bank customers and generating new business leads. The incumbent is expected to manage all customers with an emphasis on relationship management, up-selling, deep-selling, and cross-selling other bank products. Responsibilities include ensuring the quality and soundness of the portfolio under management, compliance with the bank's approved policies, and adherence to regulatory requirements. The role demands a deep understanding of various financial products and services, particularly in the areas of working capital, term finance, investment banking, and treasury products. The Senior Relationship Manager is also expected to stay abreast of rapid digitization and technological advancements in the banking sector, demonstrating strong interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills to perform effectively as a team player.

Key responsibilities
- Improve share of wallet and target to be the primary bank for each relationship in the managed portfolio
- Enhance relationship revenue from existing portfolio by cross-selling the complete range of products offered by the bank
- Screen the market for new-to-bank opportunities and develop the portfolio by soliciting new relationships within the defined segment and acceptable risk parameters
- Assume complete ownership of the managed portfolio, providing superior customer service and regularly meeting all customers
- Conduct annual and periodic credit facility reviews in the existing portfolio in a timely manner and recommend appropriate credit facilities in line with the bank's credit policy
- Ensure effective and timely delivery of the bankās services and products to clients through hands-on relationship management
- Follow-up and closely monitor assigned relationships to ensure satisfactory account conduct and early rectification of credit-related issues
- Implement and maintain complete control aspects including documentation, periodical client visits, call reports, stock inspections, and formal credit checks
- Liaise between internal and external advisors to ensure precision of agreements
- Develop on-the-job learning curve of Assistant Relationship Managers to enable their professional growth
- Liaise with superiors and direct reports within business units, Risk Management, and related enabler units to achieve business objectives
- Adhere to all compliance and regulatory policies regarding KYC and AML as set out by the bank
Experience & skills
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the local market
- Banking sales and service experience with proven experience in relationship management
- In-depth awareness of various financial products and services offered by the bank
- Awareness of rapid digitization and technological advancements in banking operations
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to perform as a team player
- MBA, CA, or equivalent is preferred
