Job description
Serve as Superintendent Electrical, Instrumentation & Telecom (EIT) in Doha, Qatar, overseeing onshore construction projects within energy infrastructure. Apply in-depth knowledge of electrical principles, instrumentation, and telecom systems, combined with workforce management and project execution strategies, to enhance on-site productivity and project outcomes. Lead and develop the electrical team, manage subcontractor activities, and coordinate cross-disciplinary work to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures, maintain compliance with safety standards, and contribute to the development of a safety-oriented culture. Plan work activities, monitor tools, equipment, and material availability, and ensure all work aligns with design specifications, cost control, and schedule requirements. Control scope changes, verify contractor commitments, and maintain quality standards throughout the construction effort.

Key responsibilities
- Identify labor requirements and ensure adequate staffing for electrical, instrumentation, and telecom work on project sites.
- Oversee ordering and availability of day-to-day materials, tools, and equipment required for construction activities.
- Minimize potential HR issues through proactive personnel engagement and conflict resolution on site.
- Develop, mentor, and lead a strong electrical team to ensure high performance and knowledge of specifications and work procedures.
- Manage electrical subcontractor activities, reviewing compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards, and schedule adherence.
- Coordinate work activities across all involved crafts and disciplines to ensure integrated and efficient construction execution.
- Supervise construction-related work activities, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, schedules, and cost control estimates.
- Promote and actively participate in the development of a safety culture, ensuring safety is integrated into all work performed.
- Control change orders and scope adjustments, ensuring proper documentation and approval prior to execution of work.
- Review and verify contractor field activities, ensuring quality compliance with design documents and project standards.
- Lead implementation, enforcement, and verification of company policies and procedures, ensuring all employees understand responsibilities and authority.
- Ensure timely completion of all mandatory training for self and team members.
Experience & skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 7–10 years of construction experience with at least 5 years in supervisory roles.
- Experience in electrical installation, control systems, and instrumentation within industrial construction projects.
- Familiarity with company scheduling programs and project management procedures.
- Knowledge of CBI procedures and standards.
- Strong focus on safety and ability to promote a safety-oriented culture on site.
- Planning and organizational skills for managing multiple teams and tasks effectively.
- Working knowledge of the energy efficiency industry.
