Job description
Lean Technologies is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to architect, automate, and maintain its hybrid cloud infrastructure across multiple regions and environments. The role combines expertise in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and site reliability engineering to ensure the platformâs security, performance, and availability. This individual will lead initiatives involving Kubernetes deployment, CI/CD pipeline design using GitHub Actions or Jenkins, Infrastructure as Code via Terraform and Ansible, and observability through stacks like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and ELK. The engineer will participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot distributed systems, and champion best practices around compliance, security, and developer tooling. Strong scripting skills in bash and Python or Go are required, along with operational experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and networking fundamentals. Experience in regulated industries and exposure to technologies such as service mesh and Cloudflare is highly desirable. Key responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters across hybrid cloud environments (GCP, OCI, on-prem)
- Design and automate secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins
- Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/Ansible using GitOps practices
- Build and operate monitoring and alerting stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and ELK
- Identify and resolve reliability, latency, and availability issues to meet strict SLA objectives
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident responses with postmortems and RCA reports
- Automate infrastructure lifecycle tasks including provisioning, scaling, and patching
- Champion security, compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001), and infrastructure best practices
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve internal tooling and developer productivity
Experience & skills
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles
- Deep understanding of Linux systems administration and internals
- Strong networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, routing, firewall policies
- Expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration
- Proficiency in Terraform and automation scripting (bash/shell and Python or Go)
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Jenkins
- Operational experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis
- Familiarity with security hardening and compliance frameworks like CIS benchmarks
- Experience in fintech or other regulated industries preferred
- Exposure to multi-cloud and hybrid architectures, Cloudflare, and service mesh technologies
- Strong documentation and runbook contributions
- Passion for building resilient systems and solving infrastructure challenges
