The Assistant Store Manager (Retail Store Operations) in Dammam, Saudi Arabia is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in ensuring efficient and profitable retail store operations while maintaining the highest levels of customer service. The role focuses on supervising retail staff, ensuring they possess the necessary product knowledge and operational skills to maximize sales performance and deliver an exceptional customer experience. The Assistant Store Manager supports the implementation of company policies and retail operating procedures, ensuring strict adherence to brand standards and operational guidelines across the store. Responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date product knowledge, fashion trends, and brand directives to anticipate and respond to customer needs while minimizing stock loss. The role also involves ensuring visual merchandising standards are maintained in accordance with established VM standards and supporting the promotion of the company’s loyalty initiatives such as the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to drive repeat sales and customer retention. The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for daily store administration, including auditing store processes, managing retail staff rosters, overseeing leave and grievance handling, and maintaining operational discipline. In the absence of the Store Manager, the position assumes full end-to-end responsibility for store operations, ensuring smooth functioning of sales activities, security monitoring, and customer engagement. The role also requires coordination with the Store Manager and Area Manager by providing feedback regarding employee performance, product performance, and customer trends. Operating in a fast-paced retail environment, the Assistant Store Manager must ensure store security vigilance, maintain awareness of the group’s multiple retail brands for suggestive selling, and remain physically capable of performing operational tasks such as standing for extended periods and handling heavy lifting while ensuring efficient store performance and sales growth.

- Ensure the highest levels of customer service are delivered by retail staff by supervising performance and ensuring they possess strong product knowledge to maximize sales
- Assist the Store Manager in the efficient and profitable operation of the store by implementing company policies, procedures, and retail operating standards
- Assume end-to-end store responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring smooth store operations and adherence to brand guidelines
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new products, fashion trends, and brand directives to anticipate customer needs and reduce stock loss
- Supervise and manage daily retail staff operations including scheduling rosters, managing leave, and addressing staff grievances
- Conduct regular audits of store administration processes and resolve operational issues to maintain compliance with company procedures
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained at all times in accordance with company VM standards
- Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program to maximize customer loyalty, repeat purchases, and sales growth
- Provide operational and performance feedback to the Store Manager and Area Manager regarding employees and product performance
- Ensure store security awareness and vigilance at all times to prevent operational or inventory-related issues
Experience & skills
- Possess education at the level of some college as specified in the job information
- Demonstrate experience supporting retail store operations including sales supervision, customer service management, and store administration
- Maintain strong product knowledge and awareness of fashion trends and brand directives to effectively respond to customer needs
- Show ability to implement retail operating procedures and ensure adherence to company brand policies and standards
- Demonstrate capability in managing staff scheduling, roster planning, leave management, and grievance handling for retail staff
- Possess knowledge of visual merchandising standards and ability to maintain VM compliance within the retail store environment
- Be physically capable of standing for extended hours and performing operational tasks including heavy lifting in a retail store setting
