Job description
The Director of Business Development at Wipro is responsible for driving the growth of a Practice or Service Line within a designated territory by acquiring new clients and expanding existing accounts. This role involves executing the hunting strategy for the Service Line, defining priorities and strategies to achieve targets, and understanding the Practice/Service Line strategy with a focus on areas such as Digital, Cloud, and Cybersecurity. The director will interact with advisors and partners to understand market dynamics, review top accounts for business opportunities, and identify new logos and target customers. Responsibilities include developing sales plans, allocating targets to the team, conducting regular meetings to drive focus, and resolving issues. The role also entails identifying and creating new growth opportunities, leading proposal development and negotiations, engaging with clients to keep them involved in solution development, and driving profitable revenue growth. Additionally, the director will develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders in client organizations, maintain a relationship map, and leverage networks to gain market intelligence. The position requires leading and driving pipeline development, executing engagement plans for target accounts, and influencing client stakeholders to initiate formal buying processes. The role is pivotal in shaping Wipro's presence in the market and achieving strategic business objectives.

Experience & skills
- Proven experience in business development within the IT services industry
- Strong understanding of digital transformation, cloud computing, and cybersecurity services
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies and plans

- Proficiency in proposal development, negotiation, and closing deals
- Ability to analyze market trends and competitive dynamics
