The Assistant Director of Sales and Marketing at Riyadh Airport Marriott Hotel, owned and operated by Dur Hospitality Company SJSC under franchise from Marriott International, supports the Director of Sales & Marketing in developing and executing the hotel’s comprehensive sales and marketing strategy within the hospitality and hotel operations sector. The role contributes to the preparation and implementation of the annual commercial plan, including budgeting and sales forecasting, in coordination with the General Manager and Heads of Departments. Responsibilities include overseeing daily sales office operations, ensuring effective account management practices, maintaining updated client records, and managing follow-up systems for business development activities. The position actively monitors sales performance, conducts market trend analysis and competitor analysis across local and regional markets, and provides regular sales reporting to guide strategic decision-making. The role focuses on identifying new markets and business opportunities to increase revenue across multiple hospitality segments including corporate sales, leisure sales, and group sales. Marketing responsibilities include supporting the development and execution of marketing campaigns, promotional initiatives, digital marketing initiatives, and brand positioning strategies to strengthen the hotel’s market presence. Operational duties involve supervising the preparation of proposals, contracts, corporate rate agreements, and customer correspondence while ensuring accurate account tracing, contracting processes, internal coordination, and post-event follow-up for business accounts. The Assistant Director conducts sales calls, organizes client entertainment, participates in trade shows, facilitates FAM trips, and conducts site inspections to secure new and repeat business. The role works closely with the Revenue Manager to align rate negotiations with revenue management strategies and financial targets. Additional responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with key accounts and strategic partners to drive long-term revenue growth while ensuring alignment with Marriott brand standards and hospitality service excellence

- Support the Director of Sales and Marketing in developing and executing the hotel’s overall sales and marketing strategy aligned with commercial objectives and brand positioning.
- Assist in preparing and implementing the annual commercial plan including budgeting and sales forecasting in coordination with the General Manager and department heads.
- Oversee daily sales office operations ensuring accurate account management, updated client records, and effective follow-up systems for business opportunities.
- Monitor sales performance through sales reporting, market trend analysis, and competitor analysis across local and regional hospitality markets.
- Identify new markets and revenue opportunities across corporate sales, leisure sales, and group sales segments to increase hotel revenue.
- Develop and support execution of marketing campaigns, promotional activities, digital marketing initiatives, and brand positioning strategies.
- Conduct sales calls, client entertainment events, trade shows, FAM trips, and client site inspections to generate new business and maintain existing client relationships.
- Supervise preparation of proposals, contracts, corporate rate agreements, and customer correspondence while coordinating with the Revenue Manager on contract negotiation and revenue management alignment.
Experience & skills
- Obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field relevant to hospitality, business, marketing, or hotel management.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 8 years of previous hotel-related experience within hospitality sales, marketing, or commercial hotel operations.
- Possess expertise in commercial planning processes including budgeting, sales forecasting, and business planning for hotel operations.
- Demonstrate capability in market trend analysis and competitor analysis to support commercial strategy and revenue generation.
- Maintain experience managing hospitality sales activities including account management, client meetings, site inspections, trade shows, and business development initiatives.
- Show experience supporting marketing campaigns, digital marketing initiatives, and brand positioning strategies within the hospitality industry.
- Demonstrate ability to prepare and manage proposals, contracts, corporate rate agreements, and related commercial documentation.
- Exhibit capability to coordinate with revenue management functions for rate negotiation and alignment with revenue management strategies.
