Job description
The Store Supervisor (Warehouse Operations & FMCG Inventory Management) is responsible for managing assigned warehouse operations in alignment with Sadafco SOP’s while ensuring implementation of best practices and continuous operational improvements within a FMCG warehouse operations environment. The role involves overseeing inventory management, stock planning, and warehouse operations to achieve optimum quality, performance, and cost effectiveness while ensuring availability of inventory to meet dynamic operational requirements. The position requires managing inbound logistics to ensure timely clearance and outbound logistics to guarantee scheduled dispatch of orders including emergency orders, while monitoring KPIs such as stock damage and operational performance. The Store Supervisor coordinates logistics activities with the Transport department and ensures compliance with customer contractual obligations, ISO standards, and Health and Safety (H&S) and Quality Assurance (QA) practices. The role includes managing Warehouse Management System (WMS) usage, advanced MS Excel reporting, and operational reporting procedures to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. Responsibilities also include overseeing staff deployment, absence monitoring, performance management, and workforce planning while ensuring efficient utilization of resources. The position requires working in temperature controlled environments including freezer and chiller operations, operating or supervising the use of forklifts and Material Handling Equipment (MHE), and coordinating equipment maintenance with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain operational continuity. The role supports both internal and external customer service excellence by ensuring warehouse processes are efficient, compliant, and continuously optimized.

Key responsibilities
- Manage assigned warehouse operations in accordance with Sadafco SOP’s to deliver optimum quality, performance, and cost effectiveness while ensuring adherence to operational standards
- Plan and organize stock within the warehouse based on changing operational requirements to ensure inventory availability, improved security, and effective inventory management processes
- Oversee all warehouse operations including inbound clearance and outbound dispatch to ensure orders are completed on schedule, including handling emergency orders efficiently
- Monitor and report warehouse performance against defined KPIs including stock damage, operational efficiency, and service levels using MS Excel and operational reporting systems
- Coordinate logistics activities with the Transport department for distribution of stock and movement between external warehouse locations
- Ensure compliance with customer contractual obligations, ISO standards, Health and Safety (H&S), and Quality Assurance (QA) practices within warehouse operations
- Develop, implement, and monitor operational reporting procedures while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and driving operational enhancements
- Manage warehouse staff deployment, attendance, absences, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and workforce planning in coordination with the Operations Manager
- Liaise with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment, machinery, forklifts, and Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
- Operate or supervise the use of forklifts and MHE and ensure safe handling of goods within temperature controlled environments including freezer and chiller storage areas
Experience & skills
- Obtain a minimum Bachelor’s degree in accounting, mathematics, business, or a related field to support analytical, operational, and reporting responsibilities within warehouse operations
- Demonstrate at least 4 years of warehouse or inventory management experience within an FMCG warehouse operations environment with hands-on exposure to stock control, logistics coordination, and operational processes
- Possess working knowledge of ISO standards and demonstrate practical application of Health and Safety (H&S) and Quality Assurance (QA) practices within warehouse environments
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in MS Excel for reporting, KPI tracking, and operational analysis, along with mandatory hands-on experience using Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Exhibit capability to operate forklifts and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) or similar machinery used in warehouse operations while ensuring adherence to safety standards
- Demonstrate willingness and ability to work in temperature controlled environments including freezers and chillers as required by FMCG storage and handling conditions
- Possess strong experience in managing inbound and outbound logistics operations including inventory planning, stock availability, and coordination with transport and distribution teams
- Demonstrate fluency in English and Arabic to effectively communicate across teams, manage documentation, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders within warehouse operations
