Job description
As an HSE Officer at CAFU in Dubai, youâll implement and maintain the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management System (HSEMS) across depot and field operations. You will conduct risk assessments, deliver training, perform inspections and incident investigations, and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure safe delivery of services. Youâll act as first responder in emergencies, oversee contractor safety plans, manage hazardous waste, and support continuous improvement of CAFUâs safety culture.

Key responsibilities
- Implement and maintain all documentation and procedures including the HSEMS system on site
- Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
- Initiate and organize HSE trainings & TBTs for pilots, other employees, visitors, and contractors
- Conduct safety walkabouts in the depot to stop unsafe acts/conditions and report anomalies
- Conduct investigations of all accidents and near-misses
- Inspect the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformities
- Establish and enforce company safety policies, procedures and SOP as needed
- Conduct spot checks on pilots to ensure that they are following SOPs
- Conduct site safety visits to ensure safe delivery of product to clients
- Participate in ER drills and act as an emergency responder during real emergencies
- Verify that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use
- Review the Incident Action Plan for safety implications
- Review and approve all subcontractor safety plans
- Coordinate registration and removal of hazardous waste through DM portal
- Identify training needs of pilots and other employees and communicate to HSE Manager
- Ensure proper traffic and asset management within the depot
- Conduct routine checks on fire systems, spill kits and other safety equipment at depot & on trucks
- Inspect tools, ladders, and other safety-critical equipment
- Perform random alco-blow checks on pilots and report anomalies
- Carry out any other HSE related tasks or projects assigned by the HSE Manager
Experience & skills
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in HSE duties
- Proven expertise in HSEMS implementation and documentation
- Experience as an on-site HSE Officer in industrial or depot operations
- Strong knowledge of site operation health and safety standards
- Certification in Fire and First Aid Safety
- Experience conducting audit and compliance assessments
- NEBOSH IGC qualification or equivalent high-level HSE certification
