Job description
The Head of Office of Airworthiness will lead the establishment and operation of an EASA & CAR Part 21 subpart J approved Design Office in Dubai. The role is responsible for managing airworthiness and certification functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding all aspects of airworthiness, environmental protection approvals, and continued airworthiness processes. The position also requires close liaison with aviation authorities and leadership within the design organisation to meet strategic and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment that applies best practices and enhances processes
- Manage and lead the Airworthiness and certification office, maintaining the DOA development and deployment plan
- Draft and update the design organisation handbook and compliance documentation procedures
- Initiate and manage EASA and GCAA certification applications and plans
- Liaise with regulatory agencies on all aspects of DOA and certification programs
- Perform compliance verification and airworthiness approval checks
- Advise on airworthiness and environmental protection approvals within the design organisation
- Implement monitoring systems for significant events affecting airworthiness
- Ensure proper response systems to accidents, incidents, and complaints, and report airworthiness impairments to authorities
- Ensure approved manuals meet regulatory standards and are submitted for approval
- Support contractor and subcontractor monitoring programs and interface agreements
- Support other units in qualification, authorization, quotations, and logistics related to airworthiness
Experience & skills
- Bachelorās degree in Engineering or equivalent aeronautical maintenance training
- Fluent in English
- 10ā12 years of experience in aviation and design with leadership roles such as CVE, Head of Office of Airworthiness, or similar
- Experience with EASA and GCAA regulatory frameworks and DOA operations
- Strong knowledge of classification, certification, and continued airworthiness processes
- Understanding of design, production, and maintenance organization interfaces
- Subject to approval by EASA and GCAA as Head of Office of Airworthiness
