Job description
Samsung MENA is hiring a Legal Counsel to support its dynamic legal team in Dubai Media City. This multifaceted role blends legal administrative duties with deep contract and commercial law involvement, supporting teams across sales, marketing, e-commerce, and compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Department (HOD) and senior legal advisors, reviewing agreements, advising on data privacy, and contributing to cross-functional projects. Ideal for a legally qualified individual with strong interpersonal, drafting, and business partnering skills, this role offers growth in a high-energy, global tech environment.
Required skills
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal administrative support and handle day-to-day legal requests from internal teams.
- Review and draft commercial contracts, NDAs, distribution, marketing, and service agreements.
- Advise Marketing and E-store teams on contractual and promotional terms.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and contribute to compliance advisory projects.
- Assist in managing and supporting corporate and commercial legal projects.
- Participate in meetings with the Head of Department and senior lawyers as needed.
- Prepare presentations using PowerPoint and manage budgeting using Excel.
- Support legal team members across diverse functions and jurisdictions.
- Review legal documents and independently manage clause amendments.
- Adapt quickly to Samsungās fast-paced, multicultural working environment.
Experience & skills
- Law degree required; bar admission is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of legal experience (in-house, private practice, or both).
- Experience in reviewing and drafting a range of commercial agreements.
- Strong understanding of data privacy laws and regulatory compliance.
- Fluency in English; Arabic and/or French is a bonus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving and stakeholder communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
