Job description
The Art Director role at Huda Beauty is a senior, hands-on creative leadership position based on-site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, within the Global Marketing organization. Huda Beauty, founded in 2013 by award-winning beauty entrepreneur Huda Kattan, operates as a fast-growing global beauty brand focused on democratizing the beauty industry through purpose-driven products, content, and community. The Art Director is responsible for translating the founder’s aesthetic vision into a clear, structured, and operational creative system that guides brand expression across all touchpoints. This role shapes the overall brand world, leads the design of major campaigns and retail moments, and ensures cohesive, elevated execution across the business. The position requires close collaboration with the founder, Creative Director, visual merchandising teams, and the founder’s team, as well as management of external agencies and creative partners. The role spans end-to-end creative ownership from concept through final delivery, overseeing photography, video, motion, set direction, and retail execution, while maintaining premium quality, strong differentiation, and consistent alignment with the founder’s vision in a fast-paced, founder-led environment.

Key responsibilities
- Work closely with the founder to understand, interpret, and articulate aesthetic direction
- Translate the founder’s vision into a formalized art direction system encompassing visual language, storytelling, and sensory cues
- Build and maintain a consistent creative framework used across all brand touchpoints
- Translate founder vision into creative direction for campaigns, visual merchandising, events, and collaborations
- Develop moodboards, storyboards, shot lists, and narrative concepts for key brand moments
- Oversee photography, video, motion, and set direction to ensure premium and cohesive execution
- Own end-to-end creative development for key campaigns and brand initiatives from concept to final delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams including Creative Director, Visual Merchandising, and Founder’s team to operationalize creative systems
- Manage and direct external creative agencies and partners to ensure alignment with brand standards and founder direction
- Ensure all brand expressions maintain high creative quality, consistency, and differentiation across campaigns and retail environments
- Maintain elevated standards across visual assets, campaign execution, and retail impact
Experience & skills
- Demonstrate 8–10+ years of experience in creative, branding, or advertising roles
- Show industry exposure within beauty, fashion, or luxury sectors
- Exhibit strong craft in campaign art direction, photography and video direction, storyboarding, motion design, and 3D or retail environments
- Demonstrate experience managing creative pipelines and external agencies
- Operate effectively in founder-led, high-ownership environments with adaptability and emotional intelligence
- Maintain an editorial and modern aesthetic sensibility with strong awareness of social culture
- Align closely with founder vision while ensuring operational clarity and executional excellence
