Job description
The Senior Specialist – Arrival & Departure Airport Operations role at Coastal Transportation Services Company supports the Manager - A&D Airport Mobility Planning & Operations in managing all transportation services related to airport arrivals and departures for guests, employees, and stakeholders associated with the AMAALA project. The role is focused on ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient transportation operations during high-traffic periods between airport terminals and Triple Bay / AMAALA Staff Village. Responsibilities span planning, coordinating, and monitoring transport schedules, overseeing service providers and transport teams, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and proactively identifying operational improvements to enhance service delivery, fleet availability, reliability, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency. The role also includes end-to-end operational readiness of the Arrival & Departure fleet through coordination with maintenance teams to ensure manufacturer-recommended servicing is completed without disrupting service delivery.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily airport transport operations between airport terminals and Triple Bay / AMAALA Staff Village
- Monitor arrival and departure schedules to ensure continuous transport availability without delays
- Ensure transport services meet agreed safety, efficiency, and guest satisfaction standards
- Address non-performance issues and operational challenges by implementing corrective actions
- Lead and coordinate transport coordinators, drivers, and support staff during arrival and departure operations
- Manage team scheduling, performance reviews, and staff readiness through training and resource allocation
- Act as the primary point of contact for airport transport-related inquiries and complaints from stakeholders
- Respond to feedback and resolve issues to maintain high guest satisfaction levels
- Review and analyze transport operations to identify efficiency and cost-effectiveness improvements
- Implement new systems and processes to enhance guest experience and streamline operations
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and transport standards
- Report, investigate, and manage incidents or accidents involving transport services
- Compile regular performance reports including ridership data, incident logs, and feedback analysis
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on trends, challenges, and service enhancements
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure fleet servicing is completed without service disruption
Experience & skills
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
- Possess at least 6 years of industry experience in the automotive or transportation sector
- Demonstrate experience managing Arrival and Departure airport functions in a large, fast-paced environment
- Be proficient in English (oral and written), with Arabic proficiency considered an advantage
- Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Show ability to manage multiple priorities in high-volume, fast-paced operational environments
- Exhibit experience handling confidential and sensitive information within operational settings
